At least four activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured during an attack, allegedly led by Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men in front of the main gate of Jagannath University (JnU) on Thursday.

The injured were identified as Abdur Rashid, Jitu, Palash and Rubel. All of them are activists of the JCD JnU unit.

A group of activists of the BNP’s student wing came under the attack when they brought out a procession in front of Arts Faculty building of the university at around 9:30 am demanding the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Among the injured, Abdur Rashid, a third batch student of the Economics Department of the university, was sent to a local hospital for treatment.
